INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup (125 mL) toasted sesame seeds
1 1/2 package (350 g each) firm tofu, drained and cut into twelve slices
4 c. tsp (20 mL) sesame oil
1/4 cup (60 mL) green onions (white part only), thinly sliced
1 c. to tab (15 mL) fresh lemon grass, finely chopped
1 c. to tab (15 mL) fresh ginger, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. tsp (1 mL) freshly ground black pepper
3/4 cup (180 ml) of orange juice
1/2 cup (125 mL) vegetable broth
1 1/2 c. to tab (22 mL) sauce reduced salt soy
1 orange cut into segments
PREPARATION
1. Put the sesame seeds in a plate and pass the tofu slices, turning to coat. In a skillet, heat 2 tbsp. teaspoon oil over medium heat. Add the tofu slices and cook for 10 minutes or until browned (return in mid-cooking).
2. Meanwhile, in another pan, heat remaining oil over medium-high heat. Add green onions, lemongrass, ginger, garlic and pepper and cook, stirring, for 3 minutes. Stir in orange juice, broth and soy sauce. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes or until sauce is slightly reduced.
3. To serve, garnish with orange segments and drizzle the sauce with lemongrass.
