INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup (125 mL) sugar
2 c. to tab (30 ml) baking powder
1/2 tsp. tsp (2 mL) salt
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) flour
1/4 cup (60 mL) vegetable oil
1 cup (250 ml) of milk
syrup
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) maple syrup
1 cup (250 ml) of water
PREPARATION
1. Combine sugar, baking powder, salt and flour. Stir in vegetable fat. Add milk and mix until the dough is smooth.
Preparation of syrup
2. In a large saucepan, bring the maple syrup and water. Using an ice cream scoop, shape the dough into balls and add them to the pan. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes (do not lift the lid during cooking).
